Customer Reviews
Had the boys here today doing some plumbing Ben,Parker,Coby and Noah they we're very professional and the job was done in time they cleaned up afterwards and showed me the work would recommend them for any work at any time. Thank you very much. You're sincerely
Contacted Tropical Coast Plumbing to have a look at my toilet which wouldn't stop running due to a suspected dodgy float valve - which turned out to be the culprit. Massive shoutout to Lincoln who attended - on time, professional, knowledgeable, well presented and a really good bloke. A plumber I'd happily have back to service any work I need done in the future. No complaints here. I haven't yet received a full invoice for the works done and I'm sure that will arrive. However, I paid a $99 attendance fee which I was told would be fully deducted from the "flat-rate price" of any works carried out. That's fine to secure the appointment. What I wasn't expecting was a simple valve replacement (a $30 part from Bunnings) that took no longer than 3 minutes, to then cost a further $384 - a total of $483. Even if you charged $80 for the part and charge a minimum Labor cost of 1 hour, that's $400/hour for Labor. I'm sorry, but that just seems horrendous. Maybe I'm missing something and that cost is justified, but to replace a $30 part that is no doubt obtained much cheaper through wholesale is absolutely insane. Honestly, i'd happily stomach $50 for the part and a minimum 1 hour labor charge at $200 - he was only here 20minutes. I can't fault the work, nor the tradie himself, but seriously; just shy of $500 to replace a float valve in a toilet, in my opinion, is just taking advantage. Happy to be proven wrong if I'm missing something.
Thank you Coby, Noah and the Tropical Coast Plumbing team for efficiently sorting out my plumbing crisis today! Everyone was so wonderful to speak to and the boys went the extra mile to get the job done and make sure I don’t have the same issues again. They also left the site very tidy. I’ll definitely be calling for any future plumbing jobs and recommending to our friends and family. Thanks again!
Parker, Sifo and Max from Tropical Coast Plumbing, provided excellent service. They were enthusiastic, friendly and kept me informed of the progress. I would definitely recommend this company and these gentlemen.
Lincoln and Cooper did an amazing job. Tropical Coast are fantastic to deal with, very responsive and quick to arrange the service. Highly recommend!
