Customer Reviews
Had Tim come and replace my hot water system. He seemed friendly enough at the time and sounded like he knew what he was talking about and came out the next day. After install, nearly 2 months later, I noticed it was leaking from the join/pipe that he had made. This made me check the rest of his work and he hadn’t bothered to secure the unit at the bottom brackets, as is a requirement from the manufacturer. He had also dislodged the bracket that secures the main gas pipe to the wall and had also repositioned that gas pipe so that it was now rubbing on my fence. Tim also didn’t give me a certificate of compliance and I only got an invoice from him after asking multiple times. I msgd Tim about the issues to be told that it’s only a small leak, without even checking it or me stating the size of the leak, and he couldn’t come fix it until 3 days later. He then tried to tell me that it’s not a requirement to secure both the top and bottom brackets, even though it specifies this in the instruction manual. He finally came and stated there’s not a leak and cleaned the traces of where the water has been leaking out. He did put fasteners on the bottom bracket, re-secured the gas pipe bracket and finally gave me the certificate of compliance. He argued that the gas pipe was previously rubbing on the fence, even after I pointed out the mark on the gas pipe where it originally was so I just said I’ll fix it myself. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone but if you do decide to use Tim’s Plumbing, I suggest you thoroughly check his work for compliance and leaks etc. Update. A hour after Tim left saying there’s no leak, I went back and checked to find it still leaking. I sent him 3 pics, which I will attach here too, he came back and wiped the drips off and said he still can’t see a leak. He even said he couldn’t see a leak in the pics I sent. This blokes customer service is disgusting, standing there arguing with me instead of doing the job that I’ve paid him to do. He then has the nerve to blame me saying I’ve got a problem with him for some reason. Yeah I paid for a job to be done and he’s arguing the point and denying a leak. Please look at the pics (last 3), it’s pretty obvious to anyone else that it’s leaking but this “master plumber” says he couldn’t see anything. He has now replaced the valve and said to let him know if it still leaks. Surely there is a test he could have done instead of me having to keep an eye on it. He also stated that he only ever secures them from the top so if you’ve had work done by Tim, I suggest you go check that it’s been installed as per manufacturers specifications. Beware of this guy, quick to take your money but wants to argue or deny things when there’s issues.
Tim is really kind, friendly, and highly skilled at what he does. He arrived within two hours of my call on the same day, which was very impressive. He fixed both water sink issues perfectly, even though I initially contacted him about only one. I couldn’t be happier with the service.
Rang Tim’s Plumbing today, was extremely helpful over the phone, even arranged to organise a new meter from SA Water. Came soon as meter fixed to solve our problem, which he did in a very professional way, his price was very fair and he did an excellent job. Would 100% recommend him to everyone, we now have him in our contacts as our plumber for any future jobs. Alan Grundy.
I have had Tim do two jobs for me now and both times he got the job done quickly and very reasonably priced. He is always friendly, shares his knowledge. I would recommend Tim to anyone looking to have plumbing work done
Tim arrived promptly to clean our drains. He had a very respectful and amicable manner and was also very informative. This was the day he was about to take leave for Christmas, yet he still made the time to come that morning. As he was unable to locate the IP, he arranged then and there for SA Water to come and locate it. They arrived the following day, locating and replacing the lid that had rusted and was not even covering the drain at the time of location. Although Tim gave of his time trying to find the IP (which was not in an obvious place) and had a brief check of how adequately the drains were functioning, he did not charge a fee. Although the drains are currently ok, when I do need a plumber I certainly won’t hesitate to contact him again. Great service.
