My 79 year old Mum wanted an 80L Rheem heated water tank to be installed. These people quoted her $2200 and told her there maybe additional costs for electrical, they also asked her for 75% of the invoice, upfront before work could commence. Illegal and unethical. Just to give you an idea. Australian hot water services in NSW charge $1314.00 for an 80L Rheem system to be installed, installation is in that price. There is a difference of nearly $900. Are Tasmanian plumbers any different to the ones that work in another state? I understand fees and wages may differ from state to state but this is outrageous. Who does this to a pensioner. The system would cost no more than a $1000 they are asking for an additional $1200 to install. It doesn't take 2 hours to install a system. A plumbers call out fee is anywhere from $80-$200, standard plumbing hours are $80-$150. So if you add up the highest call out and plumbers hourly rate fee it equates to $500. The whole system should cost no more than $1500-$1600 to fix. Go else where, do your research before you let your elderly parents deal with these thieves who have no shame in ripping off the elderly. Absolute disgrace.

Absolutely top 10/10 service. Diagnosed my RV water pump issue and replaced the water pump for a very reasonable price. Very efficient service. Thank you.

We had a blocked sewerage line, a repeat of a tricky problem three years ago. The plumber arrived as scheduled, checked all potential causes and then unblocked the line with great efficiency. Polite, friendly and professional. Thanks!

Came to my father's house, to replace a sink that was very old and leaking. They replaced the sink, used the same old broken washers so the sink was still leaking but worse. They were rude to my father and left with the sink still leaking. He has since had a completely different company come back and actually fix it and we will never be using this company again.

Yesterday morning I had a stripped outside tap. Couldn't close it anymore. I phoned Palmer's Plumbing and once again I realised how important a receptionist is. Absolutely professional my details were taken, reassured me a plumber will be at my place asap and he was. Replaced the faulty tap in 10 minutes and all done and dusted. Better service than this isn't possible. Give them a call!
